In the many series included in the Oriceran wiki, the USA had similar groupings for their defensive forces, with slightly different names. Within each series, there was a group, led by a General, specializing in hiring/using magical beings (witches, wizards) to fight crime against the government.

In TLC (The Leira Chronicles)this group was called the Paranormal Defensive Forces, headed by Major Anderson, and it hired Leira to be prime in that series.

In TUMB (The Unbelievable Mr. Brownstone),the group was called the Paranormal Defense Agency, and was headed by Major Davies. This was an agency active at the National level, which would lend its magical specialists to the US Government's Special Forces, the national group which was sent out to fight terrorists who might or might not have magical connections. Major Davies, commander of the Special Forces troops, wished the DoD would hurry up and better integrate active magical beings directly into the military. They couldn’t keep fighting their battles using old tactics and strategies, or constantly be borrowing resources from non-DoD departments.

TUMB 11/01 DoD Special Forces, aided by PDA cohorts, were sent in to retrieve the magical artifacts taken from the LA Museum. This engagement was created by the DOD and structured as follows:

GOAL OF THE EVENT: Our rules of engagement are clear. We will breach the compound, and we will terminate every terrorist sonofabitch we run into.”

FORMATION OF EVENT: Three squads, six members each, were sent against the terrorists. Each squad was comprised of four special Forces members, enhanced by two PDA cohorts. Major Davies was overall commander, with his being the Hammer Squad. There were also Eagles and Salt squads. All were in communications through radio and earpieces. No drones were being used this time, so for now, the teams’ support personnel were depending on helmet cams and vital readings for their understanding of the tactical situation on the ground. Even close air support was too risky, given the powerful and magical nature of their enemies.

WEAPONS AND ARMOR:

Weapons:Rifles, railguns, all running anti-magic rounds. This might end up being one of the most expensive small-squad raids in Army history.

Armor: Exo-skeletons, enhanced strength allowing them to wear full armor without tiring, not just a bulletproof vest. Faster, stronger, and safer. They could haul heavier weapons without vehicle support. Anti-magic deflectors. From what he’d been told, the crystals couldn’t be underneath their armor and wouldn’t interfere with their exoskeletons.

Helmets, with augmented reality heads-up display on the front of the visor, night vision mode available.
