This section includes the standard S.A.d. agents were issued, but all of the non-standard equipment reverse-engineered from the alien technology by Daniel's secret group. See NON-STANDARD EQUIPMENT , lower half of the page.

STANDARD CIA EQIUIPMENT ISSUED:

TDC 01/04 When Daniel was tasked with rescuing the dead man from Munich, he was sent with the following list of equipment for which he was responsible:

The usual things - Broad-frequency jammers, a few single-use EMPs, lockpick kits, physical and electronic.

Tie pin: a single-use stun grenade. Just bend it and throw it.

A simple gold ring: Holographic decoy. It lasts about one minute. Even provides a realistic thermal signature

A small white orb: a chameleon ball. Optical camouflage, not total invisibility. You’ll have a blurry little outline, and it only lasts a few minutes, but it’s still quite good.” (Revised in TDC 01/15)Guaranteed to last at least five minutes.

Guns, with exploding rounds

Nothing for "raising the dead". He'll have to figure that one out on his own.

TDC 01/01 SAD equipment might also include an active deflector (a dark-blue cylinder to shield the owner from bullets), sonic grenades, a grapple gun, and an inflatable cushion if they needed to jumped off a building.

TDC 01/8 Having had his car transported to Germany with him, Daniel disguised it. Its silver paint job was replaced by a red one and a new license plate, a disguise for the car with the help of a little resonant nanopaint. It was far too costly for any normal person to even think about using it, but the CIA spared no expense.

TDC 01/17 Several new items have been added to his equipment box, for his next job:

Directional EMPs,

AR glasses

A magnetic grapple gun

Jump pads: . The jump pads will be added to the bottom of your shoes and they’ll increase your jumping distance, but they have a limited number of uses.”

Immobilization capsules: You simply press the top and bottom together and throw them. Upon contact, they blast out a little quick-hardening polymer web around the target. It should wrap around them and harden in seconds. The material weakens with exposure to oxygen, though, so it only will hold them for maybe thirty minutes at most. Use this to take them down, then use something else to keep them down.”

NON-STANDARD EQUIPMENT

TDC 01/20

When Nessie told Daniel that he would now be the Operations Manager for the secret group, she took him on a tour of the special equipment they had that no other group had or knew of, as follows:

She showed him the special suits they wore for protection. “These suits are not only fashionable but are both bullet and knife resistant. A 9mm shot to a protected area will only bruise. Thinner bulletproof vests mean better mobility. We’re finalizing a few things on them, but they should be ready in a few weeks.”

Nessie walked away from the suits toward a rack with a half-dozen odd-looking silver guns that had only small dots for barrels. Blast pistols, which, upon examination, had left a blackened hole in the breast pocket of one of the suits, and its blue beam had also pierced a metal plate a few feet back, but it hadn’t managed to go through the wall. “The blast pistols are nice, but they have limited shots. We don’t have a good method for mass-producing their power cells, but it might still be to your advantage to use them in a protracted firefight. Training time available on them.

The agent stepped away from her toward a rack covered with small black drones (assassin drones). They were a little bigger than the palm of his hands. Those drones contain a small amount of explosive in a shaped charge—not enough for serious damage, but more than enough to kill a person if it explodes next to their head. Advanced navigational AI and pattern-matching mean that this little thing could fly through a building to finding a single target and take him out. Although it could be useful in certain defensive situations, if it got out into general use, it’d be nothing but an assassination bot.'

She strolled away from the assassination drones to a massive rack containing a variety of jeweled rings and watches. “These rings and watches all produce low-powered force fields. They work against most forms of energy and physical weapons. They were reverse-engineered from alien technology. Ironically, we’ve had more success getting these smaller-scale versions to work than something larger.” Nessie picked up a ring and slipped it on, then squeezed it. A shimmering blue field surrounded her. She crossed her arms and waited. About thirty seconds later, the force field disappeared. “As you can see, it doesn’t last that long, but it might be useful in situations where you need a more general defense and don’t know what the enemy can produce. Currently, the charging takes some time, and it’s not something we can accomplish in the field. They’ll block physical and energy forces created through magic means, but they aren’t directly anti-magic.”

She pointed to a pile of crystals on silver chains sitting in a tub several racks away. “Anti-magic deflectors that we’ve purchased from magicals. Of course, each is tremendously expensive, and they aren’t exactly subtle, so they should be saved for missions in which we believe there is a high probability of direct offensive magic use.”

She grabbed a tiny black box and pulled the lid off. A tiny black speck lay inside. Daniel leaned closer to stare at the speck. “Looks like a seed.” “It’s a subcutaneous receiver and transmitter that you implant inside your ear. This little toy is a nice fusion of tech and magic. It’ll allow you to be in contact with Ronni and the other support team members without additional equipment, and more importantly, it’s undetectable using current agency measures. Simply put it in your ear, and it’ll do the rest. I must warn you that you will have some discomfort. To activate and deactivate it, squeeze your earlobe.” Daniel did do, felt excruciating pain for a moment, then was talking to Ronni, Big Gnome, and Madge.

Watch with a drug in it, ready for injection. Needle emerges upon slapping the watch, with a single-use paralytic agent in its enclosed capsule.
