Jessie Rae's BBQ is a real place, in Las Vegas, that is thought to have  “Best damn barbecue on any planet.” 
It is a small place, two rooms, plastic tableware, paper towels for napkins, and the best sauce anywhere, to put on your dinner. Meat is cooked out in back, in real-time pit. Michael Anderle, one the the authors, goes there often, and brings all of the friends he can. His picture is on the wall there.
