TUMB 02/23
Greg and Delroy: Two policemen. who did a surveillance on Brownstone when he returned from Baja. “We’re part of an interagency anti-gang task force, and ever since the incident with the Harriken, there’s been a lot of strange movement among the local gangs. We’re worried about a gang war breaking out. And your name pops up every time we talk to an informant. We’re not here to hassle you, Brownstone. We just want to stop a gang war.” Lt. Hall calls in Delroy Washington, anti-gang task force., They had their eye on Brownstone anyway, and this is the exact kind of crap they’ve been worried about. That asshole bounty hunter might be starting a major war.”
TUMB 03/9 Like Maria Hall, he didn’t like Brownstone. The man was nothing but trouble, but he appreciated that Brownstone hadn’t capped his ass when he’d had the chance. And any honest police officer had to accept that the bounty hunter had helped take down some seriously dangerous men and women who would have otherwise killed cops. Maybe even AET team members.
In relation to the massive hitman/bounty Brownstone is mixed up in , Delroy says, “He hasn’t done too much damage so far,” Delroy reminded her. “At least, not as much as I would have predicted. We’ve got to give him credit for doing his best to draw his attackers away from civilians.” Maria snorted. “I don’t have to give him any credit. If he wasn’t so flashy and arrogant we wouldn’t have this problem now.”
Backgroound: Back when Delroy first joined the force, the world had been a different place. The worst threats were terrorists and powerful gangs like MS-13, not dangerous wizards or strange monsters. The problem was, a lot of people didn’t want to accept how much the world had changed.
